Lapis Ridge

The project unfolds along a linear axis, anchored by a reflective pool that threads beneath a floating bridge at the entrance. From there, the home steps outward in a series of terraced platforms, each offering panoramic views across the Monte Nido valley. The spatial rhythm is both bold and serene: open interiors framed by floor-to-ceiling glazing, wrapped in pale concrete and mineral textures.

Natural elements are layered with intention. A central water feature catches the light at different hours, echoing the path of the sun. Native vegetation blends into the architecture, softening edges and grounding the structure within its steep topography.

Lapis Ridge is a creative exploration of how architecture can be both rooted and weightless, connected to the land yet aspirational in its gestures.

Garden Concept

The outdoor space adjoining the master bedroom is conceived as an intimate threshold between architecture and garden, a place where daily life naturally extends into the landscape. Designed as a paved terrace for morning coffee, it offers a moment of calm at the very start of the day, enveloped by layers of vegetation that create a sense of protection and seclusion. Planting is arranged in varying heights, weaving around the edges of the terrace and softening the hard surface with texture, color, and seasonal rhythm. While the greenery defines a protective enclosure, the composition is deliberately open towards the horizon, allowing sunlight to bathe the space without obstruction. The terrace flows seamlessly into the pool and the wider garden, blurring the line between living space and nature. It becomes both a private retreat and a connective node, where architecture, water, and planting converge to frame a daily ritual within the wider atmosphere of Lapis Ridge.

Landscape garden

The planting composition is designed as a sequence of overlapping layers, ensuring continuity of atmosphere across the seasons. Early spring introduces delicate blossoms that weave through fine grasses, setting a light and fresh tone. As summer progresses, denser foliage and upright inflorescences add structure, height, and movement, while aromatic textures enrich the sensory experience. Toward autumn, golden tones emerge through grasses and late-flowering perennials, extending the vibrancy and carrying the garden into its seasonal transition. The result is a protective, immersive garden atmosphere that frames the terrace and pool with intimacy, yet always remains open to light and sky.

Patio Entry

The patio is conceived as a threshold between the exterior garden and the interior of the house. Immersed in greenery yet more controlled in character, it combines sculptural planting with architectural clarity. Bonsai trees in raised beds and slender vertical species accentuate the geometry of the entry bridge, creating a measured rhythm that guides the visitor inward. Transparent glass façades open glimpses toward the interior spaces, contrasting with the solid entry wall that encloses the patio from the front garden. This interplay of openness and enclosure defines the patio as a calm, transitional space, both protective and inviting.
